The production of our LED backlights is an interesting process within electronics manufacturing. First, the circuit board that will power the LEDs is designed and etched onto a fiberglass board. Tiny surface-mount LEDs, often just a few millimeters wide, are then precisely placed and soldered onto the board. All done in-house! These LEDs come in a variety of colors like red, blue, and green, etc. The finished circuit board is then placed into a custom-made acrylic disc. Quality control testing is performed to ensure the correct LEDs light up while they are being manufactured.
The process brings together circuit design, intricate manufacturing, and creative enclosure design to make an eye-catching glowing product.
